The Woodinville Community
The official motto for the beautiful
city of Woodinville is "COUNTRY LIVING, CITY
STYLE". Compared to its metropolitan
Eastside neighbors of Bellevue, Issaquah,
Kirkland and Redmond, consider living in
Woodinville as living in the "country". As a
result of past planning that demanded new
subdivisions be platted with 3/4 acre lots
or bigger, Woodinville offers an open
feeling within their neighborhoods, a sharp
contrast to the high density, postage stamp
lot feel to most of the Eastside. Gorgeous
natural greenbelts, open spaces, preserves,
lakes and streams, and horse farms separate
most of the neighborhoods helping create a
roomy rural atmosphere. Enjoy views of the
Cascades, Mt. Rainier, and lakes and salmon
spawning streams that create the natural
beauty surrounding Woodinville.
Set in the lush Sammamish Valley northeast
of Seattle, Woodinville is located along the
405 Freeway, allowing immediate access to
the downtown centers of Bellevue, Seattle
and Lynnwood. Adjacent to the new technology
corridor dominated by biotech, e-commerce,
computer, internet and other high tech
companies, it offers mid to high range
employment opportunities. Downtown has all
the offerings of any metropolitan area with
shopping, dining, and movie theaters, yet,
manages to remain quaint and with a true
community feel.
Home to many wineries including Ste
Michelle, Columbia, Silver Lake and Facelli
and the famous Red Hook Brewery, Woodinville
is on its way to becoming a premier tourist
destination. These facilities offer
headliner concerts in the Summer bringing
additional "character" to this aspiring
area. Adding to the community feel, is the
Woodinville Repertory theater, Community
Band, annual Woodinville Wine festival, the
All-Fools and Basset bash parade, July 4th
fireworks and Holiday Lighting Festival.
